Hello

Thank you for visiting the Happy Go Doggy Studio Website. My name is Frenda. My dog photography journey started in March 2020. Two years prior, I was helping my partner with his dog walking and boarding business. Then COVID arrived. I wanted to start a passion project that I could do at my home. I built a dog portrait studio in my garage equipped with lights, backdrops, and props. Although it was fun to photograph dogs in a studio, I also wanted to capture images of dogs running and playing freely outdoors.
I started to study with different international award-winning pet portrait photographers and began taking photos of dogs outdoors to capture their spirit in their world. Sadly, 2 dogs I had photographed passed away in recent years. It made me realize how important it is to capture those special moments and relationships between dogs and humans that you can cherish forever.
A year before I started my pet photography journey, I was visiting my family in Asia and found out that my parents adopted me as a baby. I sometimes wonder what would have happened if they hadn’t. This is probably the reason I have a strong passion for photographing shelter dogs who are in search of a home. As a result, I became a proud member of HeARTs Speak, a 501c3 international nonprofit organization that’s uniting art and advocacy to increase the visibility of shelter animals.
